Do you pray? Sing? Read scripture or other devotional material to support your friends, family and community? What about providing spiritual support to hospice patients alongside our hospice chaplains? You'll assist in patient spiritual care by following a care plan created by the chaplain. You might sit and pray with a patient, sing (if you CAN make a joyful noise-- remember, hospice does not hasten death), read scripture and devotionals to provide support and comfort at end-of-life.
If you respect religious and spiritual beliefs outside your own, want to create a sacred space for people with a limited time left to live, please consider joining our very special team.
Must pass a background check, complete orientation, get a TB test, and mentor with our hospice chaplain and team.
For more information on how you can help, please contact CJ Pharr, Volunteer Coordinator at 720-390-1276 or cpharr@coloradophc.com
