The Friendly Visitor Volunteer provides socialization and companionship to patients, and often their families, who are dealing with a terminal illness and end-of-life issues. This volunteer is a comforting presence providing additional support, primarily in person, where the patient resides , be it a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or a private residence. We have a 50-mile service area, so visits would be set up convenient to you whether in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania , Ruther Glen, Stafford, Montrose, Warsaw, Doswell, Mineral, Tappahannock, King George, Aylett, Colonial Beach, and surrounding areas. At times, this support may also be via phone support to a stressed primary caregiver.
