A Team Coordinator, also called a Local Program Coordinator, is the "athletic director" of the sports programming for a specific team!
This position ensures that volunteers and athletes are prepared to participate in year-round local and state competitions and events.
The primary duties include:
-create and maintain a healthy team atmosphere
-recruit new athletes to participate
-recruit volunteers and coaches to help with your team
-remain organized with the necessary paperwork
-assist the team with local fundraising opportunities
-plan transportation & travel to competitions
New coordinator orientation and ongoing training is provided by Special Olympics Montana staff.
This is a volunteer, non-paid position. Allowable expense reimbursements are available.
