A 67-year-old man with ALS and his wife would love volunteer assistance with a variety of things around their home: cleaning, household chores, laundry, meal prep, and/or yard work. The best days for a volunteer to visit would be Monday-Friday, but exact hours can be flexible. They are dog owners and would ideally like a volunteer who is able to visit weekly.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
