Sunset Farm Garden Helpers

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: PARK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The Park CDC is growing a bountiful assortment of fresh, pesticide-free produce to be shared with the community, and we're seeking volunteers to support for our gardening efforts.

We invite you to join us as we plant and care for the produce while also working to make a significant impact in promoting healthy eating and sustainable living. Activities can be any of the following: preparing the soil, planting, tending (weeding, trellising, watering, fertilizing, etc.), harvesting, weighing, packing, and dropping off harvested produce at community partner sites for distribution. You can also help staff the seasonal farm stand to donate produce to community members and educate people about how to to clean, store, and prepare the vegetables and fruits.

Your support will not only contribute to the success of our urban garden, but also inspire others to embrace sustainable gardening practices and help us to serve our neighbors in need. Additionally, your involvement will foster connections among fellow farming and gardening enthusiasts and promote a sense of belonging within our community.
