ORGANIZATION: Seedling Inc.

Seedling Inc. is looking for passionate individuals to join our Leadership Team!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist with Seedling initiatives in at least one of the following areas: teaching, curriculum development, community outreach, business development, social media and marketing, grants and fundraising, and hydroponics assembly
  • Collaborate and maintain regular communication with Leadership Team and Project Lead
  • Attend weekly Leadership Team meetings (~2 hours, in person)
  • Commit 12-15 hours/week and 1.5+ years to Seedling
Interview Process:
  • Conversation (15-20 min) and formal interview (1-1.5 hours)
Requirements:
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have High School Diploma
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience teaching and interacting with youth
  • Have an interest in STEM, health, gardening, food, or sustainability

Description

Seedling Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to promote educational equity in food and STEM literacy through tailored youth programming, sustainable hydroponics products, and widespread initiatives tackling food insecurity, sustainability, and healthy living. Seedling is partnered with Baltimore City Public Schools and community-based organizations to teach children about gardening, nutrition, sustainability, computer-aided design, entrepreneurship, and more. As a social venture, Seedling also partners with local businesses to build and sell hydroponics kits, which provide educational enrichment and fund youth programming.
