ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The Albeni Falls Project in scenic North Idaho is recruiting Camp Hosts (Albeni Cove, Priest River, Springy Point and Riley Creek)! General job duties include stocking and maintaining day use and restroom facilities, managing reservations using the online recreation.gov reservation system, and providing positive customer service to our visitors from across the world. Full hookups (water, sewer, electric) are provided in exchange for 32 hours/week of volunteering. Depending on staffing, positions may be available that center on volunteering at the Visitor Center, providing dam tours, and maintaining facilities with basic mowing and grounds maintenance operations. Volunteers will be working independently in a combined indoor/outdoor setting, with USACE Ranger Staff support. Preferred qualifications include the ability to provide excellent customer service to visitors of all backgrounds, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and operating simple Apple iPad and computer programs.


Duties : List the duties and any requirements for the position

1. Campground Maintenance: Stocking and cleaning restroom and shower facilities, cleaning fire pits, emptying trash cans into dumpsters, and picking up litter as needed.

2. Fee Collection: Using a computer, credit card reader, and the recreation.gov system to collect fees for extra vehicles and campsites as needed.

3. Visitor Assistance: Answering regular questions, explaining rules, and interacting positively with campers from all backgrounds. Registering campers, ensuring accurate information is in the system, and checking them in/out of recreation.gov. Reporting safety issues to Ranger staff promptly and through appropriate channels as needed.
