Hello! We are looking for a volunteer to teach ESL/ELL classes for the Peoria Public Library. This position would be perfect for retired educators, adult education students, experienced volunteers, or anyone who wants to help make a difference in our community.

The estimated times would be every Thursday evening for 8 weeks starting in September. Start time for the class would be from 6-7pm. All materials, lesson plans and presentations will be provided, and a staff member will be present in each class to help oversee things.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • 4-6 hours a month. We're looking at a 1 hour class every Thursday from 6-7 pm for a period of 8 weeks, but we are flexible and will work with your schedule.
  • This is a fun, casual class that is half vocabulary/grammar and half conversation. We're looking for someone bilingual (Spanish preferred) who is interested in getting to know our community.
