Our belief is that music is unique in that it has the power to unite diverse groups of people and is a disciplined and immediate gateway to emotional awareness. Teens who participate regularly in music not only hone their abilities to focus, think, organize, and work with others but begin to master their own, often challenging, emotional lives. Students at MRC can benefit greatly even from the simple presence of another adult.
Whether or not you are a musician, there are many aspects of our program that rely on the efforts of volunteers. If you are musically inclined, even better!
For musicians looking to volunteer, we often have a need for private lesson instructors. For those with experience with music production we have students who need mentoring, and for those who love to empower kids but have non-music talents, there is always a place for you too!
