Special Olympics Montana in the Butte Area is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to invite others in their community to participate in the joy-inspiring experience of volunteering with Special Olympics.
The Volunteer Coordinator supports the work and progress of athletes by recruiting and managing volunteers for sports program and competition opportunities. This position serves in a leadership position on the local board, called the SouthWest area management team and maintains the various lists of volunteer roles and their assignments.
Prior experience with a nonprofit organization or sports organization is helpful, but not required. The ability to communicate openly and in a timely manner is needed.
New coordinator orientation and ongoing training provided by Special Olympics Montana staff. This is a volunteer, non-paid position. Allowable expense reimbursements are available.
