We are looking for an energetic individual to manage and coordinate all aspects our volunteer program to include Sisters Helping Sister and our Annual Faith Walk. This exciting opportunity includes recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, as well as ensuring that they are engaged and motivated in their roles. You may also be involved in organizing and executing volunteer appreciation events or recognition programs. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Recruitment: Develop effective strategies for attracting and recruiting volunteers through online platforms, community events, and partnerships with local organizations.
2. Volunteer Training and Orientation: Design and facilitate comprehensive training programs for volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Conduct orientations to familiarize new volunteers with our organization's mission, values, policies, and procedures.
3. Volunteer Management: Maintain a database of volunteers, including their skills, availability, and preferences. Assign and schedule volunteers for specific tasks or projects based on their abilities and interests. Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
4. Volunteer Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture by implementing recognition and appreciation initiatives. Organize regular meetings, workshops, and social events to promote collaboration, teamwork, and networking among volunteers. Act as a point of contact for volunteers, addressing their concerns and providing ongoing support.
5. Collaboration and Partnership: Establish and maintain relationships with external organizations, businesses, schools, and community groups to expand our volunteer network. Collaborate with other staff members to integrate volunteers into program activities and events.

- Prior experience in volunteer management or coordination preferred

- Knowledge of community resources and volunteer recruitment strategies

Description
Walk by Faith (WBF) was founded in honor Marian Elizabeth Atwater, who battled cancer from 1996-2001.
WBF, Operated by Wellness Bridge Foundation provides unique holistic breast cancer support services to women, which include emotional support, free transportation services, whole comfort kits, care counseling, nutrition and fitness programs, and spiritual counseling. Our proactive approach and practical involvement provide families and individuals with the stable support they need to navigate through emerging uncertainties created by cancer. We work with a network of volunteers, corporate partners, and local charity groups to achieve our goals.
