As a nonprofit serving our community, we value our volunteer efforts. We are currently seeking volunteers to help with our weekly Friday Food Distribution. Responsibilities include:
- Set up tables
- Sort out bad food
- Help with client registration and sign-in
- Distribute food items to clients (3-4:30pm)
- Help clean up after event

Barrio Action was established to empower young people to succeed both academically and socially, working with people of all ages, with a special emphasis on helping high-risk and at-risk youth, young adults, and their families. Youth Programs
Our Youth Programs help empower local youth to become leaders with a range of programs that include Recreation, Tutoring and Homework Assistance, College Corner, Mental Health Services, Gang Reduction and Youth Development (GRYD), and Pediatric Weight Management.
Family Programs
Bario Action is a Los Angeles FamilySource Center, a one-stop shop for social, educational, work, and family support services. We offer Parenting Classes, Supportive Services, Multi-Benefit Screening; Case Management, Computer Classes, Financial Literacy, Tax Preparation Services, Domestic Violence Programs, Job Readiness, Dance Classes, and Arts and Crafts.
