We need volunteers to work on our reforestation projects and sustainable living at our nature preserve on Isla Fuerte, Colombia. Perks include tent accommodation and free use of water sports equipment like paddle board, kayak and snorkeling. We also can help you find inexpensive accomodation in town if you decide to stay in town (30 minute walk).
Work includes indentifying, monotoring and cleaning new and old trees and plants.

Oceanvida Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Miami, Florida, USA, dedicated to preserving our ocean through education and non-motorized water sports. Oceanvida was founded on the principle that the ocean can provide tremendous benefits to humankind, not just in the way of food and other ecosystem services, but also emotional wellbeing and happiness. So connecting people with the ocean via water sports is our main mission.
Description
We are constantly creating and implementing ocean conservation programs that help people, especially children, enjoy and protect our ocean. We began in Miami several years ago and are now expanding to an island--Isla Fuerte--off the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Isla Fuerte is a tropical island paradise surrounded by some of the most important marine ecosystems like coral reefs and mangroves, an ideal place to teach and learn about the ocean. Here we working with community leaders and local kids on various programs, including a water sports club and eco group.
