We are looking for a driven and experienced volunteer literary agent to assist our agency author in securing favorable publishing contracts. The literary agent's responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact between the author and publishers, guiding the author through the publishing process, and taking the necessary steps to protect authors' interests. You should also be able to manage the career of the author effectively.
Literary Agent Responsibilities:
- Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with Editors, Publishers, radio/TV stations and agencies.
- Sorting through query letters to identify literary talent.
- Requesting sample chapters or complete manuscripts from our Author.
- Reading our Authors manuscripts to determine whether they have substantial market potential.
- Responding to rejected queries by sending form letters to the respective agencies.
- Working directly with Author to suggest necessary changes to their manuscripts and to ensure that their manuscripts are ready to be submitted to Publishers.
- Pitching Authors’ manuscripts to suitable publishing houses.
- Negotiating favorable publishing deals on behalf of the Author.
- Offering the Author guidance, support, and encouragement.
You will needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 1 pm

Boys2MEN-Girls2Women is a non-profit organization developed to serve the community by assisting children from 2 to 18 years of age in becoming productive members of society by instilling positive, spiritual, cultural, educational, vocational and social values.
Description
We as a team penetrates and infiltrates local elementary and secondary schools and unearth children who have Fallen Through the Cracks (FTC). Once FTC children are identified a Boys2MEN/-Girls2Women, Mentoring/Tutoring Club is established on school campus, churches, and community centers, and each FTC child is then incubated, nurtured, tutored and inspired towards greatness.
