About Our Organization: Dunk4Dreams is a non-profit organization that provides basketball-centric programs and technology access to underserved youth, primarily focusing on minority communities.

Job Description: We seek a dynamic Athletics Director, Basketball - Volunteer to join our team. This individual will oversee our basketball-centric programs' strategic planning, development, and implementation, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with our technology and education initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of basketball-centric programs that weave together our focus on sports, technology, and education.
  • Collaborate with program leaders to ensure an integrated approach to our curriculum, blending sports, technology, and education effectively
  • Engage with community members and partners to identify needs, solicit feedback, and build supportive relationships
  • Recruit, support, and oversee coaching staff and program volunteers to ensure consistency and quality in program delivery
  • Please make sure all basketball-related initiatives align with the organization’s strategic goals and support our overarching mission
  • Utilize personal networks and connections to create partnerships and secure resources in support of Dunk4Dreams initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience and understanding of the sport of basketball, preferably in a leadership or administrative capacity
  • Solid knowledge and passion for leveraging technology and education in a sports context
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a knack for strategic thinking and planning
  • Proven track record in community engagement and relationship-building
  • A solid commitment to our mission and advancing opportunities for underserved youth
