Start: February 5, 2024

End: July 31, 2024

(start and end dates are negotiable)

Overview: The Alexander Graham Bell Association works globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk. The Young Leaders Board is an AG Bell program that works to expand the visibility of AG Bell and the resources for young adults who are Deaf/HOH through networking events, as well as to provide opportunities to develop new skills, take on leadership roles, and broaden their professional and social circles. As a Marketing Chair Member for the Young Leaders Board, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable marketing experience, network with other professionals and young adults who are Deaf/HOH and learn about board governance and nonprofit management.

Through this position, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge that will take your resume from entry-level to leadership, positioning you for future opportunities in your career. You will also have the chance to network with other young adults who are Deaf/HOH and primarily use LSL (Listening and Spoken Language), building a community that is often lacking in local spaces.

Incentives for participating in this position include the opportunity for swag, coffee and more, as well as the chance to work with experienced leaders and mentors who will provide guidance and support throughout the program. This is an unpaid position.
