The Council on Aging of Buncombe County is committed to providing services that enable our seniors to safely and comfortably continue living in their homes. One issue that can be a challenge as we age is keeping our yards in shape. We need volunteers that can help seniors with clearing brush, mowing, cleaning gutters and general outdoor work. This is a great opportunity for small groups, or for individuals who want vigorous outdoor activities. Leaf season is upon us and this creates another need for seniors in our community...RAKING and BAGGING!

The Council on Aging of Buncombe County promotes the independence, dignity and well-being of adults through service, education, and advocacy.
Description
The Council on Aging (COA) is a nonprofit organization that provides services to individuals age 60 and older. COA provides personal, caring support and assistance with the challenges of growing older. We provide referrals and help in learning the Medicare system, staying healthy and independent at home, and support for caregivers.
