Development Alert as a young Charity involved in Empowering Poor and Vulnerable communities on livelihoods improvement and environment conservation in Uganda is looking for highly experienced, influential, resourceful professionals and well-wishers who can support the organization raise funds through their network and also where necessary to commit funding of their choice to the organization's activities to join the organization's Advisory Board on Finance.

These will ensure the organization raises funds for it's activities under the Four main thematic areas; Education, Access to Clean Water, Economic Empowerment and Environment Conservation. This volunteer position is not paid


The purpose of the Advisory Board on Finance is to help raise money for the organization and it’s activities.

Members of Advisory Boards shall contribute to fundraising in many ways including;

  • Asking their networks to financially support the organization.
  • Serving as chair of a fundraising campaign or the annual gala.
  • Connect the organization with their company's foundation or community relations program, which often need an inside person to get the gift.
  • Plan a fundraising event, such as a golf tournament and other competitions to raise funds.
  • Host an intimate dinner party at their home and ask their friends to give.
  • Connect the organization with leaders of other organizations to create partnerships.
  • Promote Organization's campaigns
  • Attend Meetings every three Months

  • Be able to give back to community
  • Become a member of the Organization's Global Community
  • Become an Ambassador of; and represent the organization in their locality.
  • Be awarded a Certificate

MISSION The organization's mission is to Provide a comprehensive and sustainable reprieve of poverty, biodiversity loss, misfortune, disability, destitution and hopelessness experienced by individuals, communities and environment in partnership with organizations' involved in the same. VISION Development Alert exists to address the Causes of poverty, Biodiversity loss and Marginalization and their Consequence. It will be ensured within communities through: • Implementation of sustainable projects and programs that; • Empower those in need, in which • Developing the capabilities of individuals, families, groups and communities and, • Enhancing the social, economic, political and environmental fabric of society in which • Partnership with likeminded Individuals, Communities, groups and Organizations is paramount.


Development Alert is a registered Charity (renewed in 2022) under CR/11/2022 operating in Uganda and involved in Empowering Vulnerable and Poor communities on Livelihoods Improvement and Environmental wellbeing. Founded in 2019, it exists to identify, develop and promote talent, projects, programs and activities on and related to the fight against the causes and consequence of poverty, ill health, biodiversity loss and marginalization for, socio-economic and environmental wellbeing. 1) Education (sponsorship, supply of scholastic materials, promoting literacy, construction of school infrastructure among others).
2) Promoting access to clean and safe water.
3) Economic Empowerment.
4) Promoting Environmental conservation initiatives.

Drilled a Community Borehole, supported over 634 needy school going children, Supplied Seven (7) Brand New Sewing Machines and start up Fabrics. Trained Five (15) young people in life-skills and planted over 7000 trees in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Society.
