Become a English for Speakers of Other Languages & Citizenship Volunteer with Heartfelt Tidbits Inc. The mission of Heartfelt Tidbits is providing support to refugees and recent immigrants living in Southwestern Ohio by facilitating integration and self-sufficiency through innovative education, cultural and employment-enhancing programming.

As an English for Speakers of Other Languages & Citizenship Volunteer you will:

-English teaching

-Substitute teaching (short or long term)

-Citizenship teaching

-Supervising children

-Art and sewing classes for adults and children

-After school enrichment activities at local schools

-Special evening and weekend classes

-Be a Heartfelt Tidbit ambassador at a local event

-Drive new neighbors to medical appointments

Heartfelt Tidbits offers a formal classroom setting for English language learning. In conjunction with three-hour ESL courses, they provide citizenship classes to those who have a higher English ability.

Method

Classes are divided into small groups of 5-7 students. They are taught by our trained teachers and teaching assistants who help implement our innovative curriculum. Citizenship classes are taught by trained volunteers, and most often by refugees who have taken the citizenship exam.

Whatever your passion and purpose is, we are here to connect you to local nonprofits. RSVP is exclusive to those 55 years+ and residents of Greater Cincinnati.
