Volunteer Performance Coaching: Assisting individuals struggling in certain aspects of their volunteer role with improving skills, habits, and results.

Title: Performance Coach

Purpose: As a volunteer Performance Coach, you will partner with individuals to help them excel and thrive in their volunteer roles. Your coaching will support building skills, optimizing workflows, and achieving high performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Help coachees identify strengths, growth areas, and performance gaps
  • Provide tools and frameworks for setting goals and developing skills
  • Offer accountability and support for new habit formation
  • Share best practices for productivity, time management, and prioritization
  • Build confidence by highlighting accomplishments and celebrating wins
  • Guide exploration of alternative approaches to improve results
  • Conduct regular check-ins on progress and course correct as needed
  • Maintain a strengths-based perspective focused on potential
  • Customize your style to each coachee's needs and motivations

Qualifications:

  • Belief that most performance issues stem from skill gaps, not character flaws
  • Experience coaching individuals to overcome obstacles and upskill
  • Knowledge of learning styles, motivational techniques, and goal achievement
  • Ability to balance encouragement with accountability
  • Collaborative, solution-focused, and empowering mindset
  • Passion for helping others maximize their volunteer impact

Time Commitment: 2 hours per month over a 6 month engagement
