Role Overview:

The Instructional Designer for Relational Capital will work intimately with CrowdDoing's unique Impact Potential Analysis Framework. This framework leverages social capital in the realms of impact investment and social innovation. Your instructional design role will be pivotal in shaping the learning trajectory of Relational Capital Fellows, ensuring they're well-equipped to harness business models for maximum social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation and Alignment:

    • Craft learning materials and courses that are deeply integrated with CrowdDoing's Impact Potential Analysis Framework.
    • Construct comprehensive modules that reflect key dimensions of the framework, from understanding business models to leveraging under-utilized capacities for impact.
  2. Scenario-based Instructional Strategy:

    • Design scenario-based learning modules based on real-world challenges, helping fellows ideate social innovations that address wicked or multi-causal problems.
    • Incorporate strategic questions from the framework to guide learners in recognizing social innovation gaps and potential business model reinventions.
  3. Engage with Impact Analysis Experts:

    • Partner with experts to infuse the instructional content with insights on sustainable development goals, transformative impact scenarios, and social innovation platforms.
    • Source volunteer experts across disciplines, ensuring a rich blend of perspectives and expertise in the content.
  4. Feedback and Iteration based on Impact Metrics:

    • Establish metrics to measure the transformative impact potential of the learning materials.
    • Iterate content based on feedback, ensuring it consistently aligns with achieving major progress on Sustainable Development Goals.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration for Greater Impact:

    • Collaborate with Relational Capital Fellows, ensuring the learning material empowers them to pinpoint and harness under-utilized and adjacent capacities for impact.
    • Engage with social enterprises, facilitating their understanding of how they can contribute to the broader social innovation ecosystem.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience in instructional design, preferably within the domains of finance, social enterprise, or impact investment.
  • Proficient understanding of CrowdDoing's Impact Potential Analysis Framework or a keen interest in quickly mastering it.
  • Capability to translate the framework's complex concepts into accessible and engaging learning modules.
  • Exceptional collaborative abilities, adept at working with interdisciplinary teams.
  • A passion for harnessing business for societal impact and a drive to see global change.
