Instructional Designer for Nature Counter Moodle Courses Volunteer Role

Position: Instructional Designer for Nature Counter Moodle Courses, CrowdDoing

Role Type: Volunteer Position

Role Purpose: CrowdDoing's "Nature Counter" initiative, which emphasizes the health benefits of nature immersion, is expanding into e-learning through Moodle. The Instructional Designer for Nature Counter Moodle Courses will shape and develop the e-learning experience, ensuring that it is engaging, informative, and aligned with our mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Moodle Course Development:

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and content creators to design Moodle courses that are seamless, intuitive, and engaging.
    • Develop interactive lessons, quizzes, and multimedia elements within the Moodle platform, enhancing user learning.
  2. Content Creation & Adaptation:

    • Adapt empirical findings on nature immersion into digestible e-learning modules.
    • Craft multimedia elements (videos, infographics, quizzes) to elucidate and reinforce key concepts.
  3. Feedback & Iteration:

    • Collect and analyze user feedback concerning the Moodle courses.
    • Iterate and improve courses based on user needs, feedback, and updated research.
  4. Stay Updated:

    • Regularly review and refresh course content based on new scientific findings or changes in the Nature Counter initiative.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Nature Counter team to align instructional strategies with overall objectives.
    • Work closely with Moodle administrators to ensure smooth integration and optimal user experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in instructional design, specifically within the Moodle platform or similar Learning Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in crafting multimedia educational content.
  • Knowledge or strong interest in nature, public health benefits, and related topics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a virtual environment.
  • Experience with e-learning best practices and pedagogical strategies.
