What is hospice care?

Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support to people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice stresses human values that go beyond the physical needs, so that each client can spend their final days in dignity and comfort.

What will you do?

You will become an important part of a support team of volunteers and professionals assuring that your fellow volunteers are recognized for their efforts and kept up to date on their client's needs. We have opportunities within the office as well as visiting patients. You are able to pick your own schedule and volunteer for as little or as often as you would like.

Have a sense of organization and responsibility. Knowledge and skills in operating office equipment is helpful. You should be dedicated to come into the office regularly, have transportation and be able to read and write fluently.
