The Medical Imaging Reception Volunteer provides support to staff members, patients and guests in Medical Imaging and successfully contributes to the overall patient experience.
- Greet scheduled and walk in patients, confirm appointments and gather orders
- Provide way finding assistance and directs guests to other locations within the hospital
- Provide communication between staff members and patients (delays, progress, etc.)
- Provide friendly conversation to waiting patients and family
- Offers wheelchair assistance to patients/visitors if necessary
- Occasionally answer phone and take necessary messages
- Perform miscellaneous office tasks such as making copies, filing or sorting
- Provide assistance in keeping waiting room clean and tidy
