Job Title: Co-Ed Youth Basketball Coach (Ages 12-18)

Location: On Campus . 9 hours weekly, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 230PM- 530PM. During the Spring and Fall Semester

About Our Organization: Dunk4Dreams is a non-profit organization that offers basketball-centric programs and technology access to underserved and underprivileged youth in the community. Our future basketball-attributed technology access program, scheduled to launch in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024, represents our ceaseless commitment to acting as a catalyst for social change.

Job Description:

We seek a dedicated, engaging, and knowledgeable individual passionate about basketball and youth development to join our organization as a Co-Ed Youth Basketball Coach.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement age-appropriate basketball training programs for three different age categories: 12-14, 14-16, and 16-18.
• To enhance training efficiency and progress tracking, utilize cutting-edge technology, including smart basketballs and shooting machine technology.
• Perform talent evaluation and guide player development to reach individual and team growth goals.
• Plan, organized, and conducted practice sessions, ensuring that all drills and exercises were appropriate for the specified age group.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivational environment that promotes teamwork, learning, and competitiveness.
• Manage game strategies and player rotation while ensuring fair and balanced playing time for all players.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with players, parents, and organization management.
• Adhere to all organization policies and maintain the highest sportsmanship and respect for all involved.
• Attend training and development sessions to improve coaching skills and basketball knowledge continually.

Requirements:

Solid understanding of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.

• Past experience in coaching or playing basketball, particularly with the specified age categories.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week.
• Experience with smart basketballs and shooting machine technology is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.
• Knowledge of player assessment and talent scouting.
• Capacity to inspire, motivate, and mentor young players.
• Must pass a background check.
