Your assistance is greatly needed!! Spend some time with those with life limiting illnesses. Simply talking with them, reading to them, watching TV with them, and/or their family, if present. Patient Support:

Patient Volunteers provide companionship and respite for patients and families. This position assists with the direct needs of our patients. Volunteer will perform tasks that may include:

Duties & Responsibilities for facility patients:

- Companionship (talking, reading, listening to music, playing games, art)

Duties & Responsibilities for home patients

- Companionship (talking, reading, listening to music, playing games, art):

- Stay with patient while family has time away (respite)

- Prepare meals as needed

- Light housekeeping as needed

- Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support:

Office volunteers provide reception and administrative support. This position assists with the needs of our clients, staff and volunteers. Volunteers will perform a variety of tasks depending on project deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Filing
• Photocopying & shredding
• Faxing
• Assembling client information packages
• Data entry and mailing
• Maintenance of office space
• Other duties as assigned

Enrichment Programs (Pet, Music, REIKI/Healing Touch, Crafts, etc.):

Pet Therapy volunteers provide direct patient support with their animal companion.

Requirements:

• Pet must be licensed in order to provide therapy for patients.
• License for each pet must be brought with pet owner/volunteer during orientation (plus vaccination record)

Music Enrichment volunteers also provide direct patient support with music.
