Call to interested people living near Bridgewater, New Jersey who are at least 18 years of age.
The Finderne First Aid and Rescue Squad is in need of volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians who reside in Bridgewater, New Jersey, or in neighboring towns.

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you'll work with a crew on the Finderne First Aid and Rescue Squad, and respond to 911 emergency medical calls in the section of Finderne within Bridgewater. We will also answer calls for "Mutual Aid" to other parts of Bridgewater and contiguous towns, and they also assist us as needed.

Mission Statement

Our squad strives to give the best pre-hospital care in the time of need and constantly undergoes training to further their skills. Drivers take classes in ambulance maneuvers and operations and our EMTs take continuing education courses offered by Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy.

Description

The Finderne First Aid and Rescue Squad is charged with providing emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of the community of Finderne, in the township of Bridgewater, NJ. We have been providing this service since 1965.

Our jurisdiction is 10 square miles and covers 10,000 residents, as well as many more during the daytime hours. Included in Finderne is the TD Bank Ballpark and the Bridgewater Promenade.

The Squad has around 30 volunteer professionals ranging in roles from Drivers and Cadets to Emergency Medical Technicians. While they are not on call, our members come from all walks of life and generate a very diverse group of individuals. They balance their personal life with their volunteer life providing emergency care for their community. In many cases, members go on to start a career in the emergency services and become police officers, paramedics and doctors.
