Inform visitors about state government and history while conducting tours of one of the most beautiful capitols in the country. Training is done on an individual basis. No prior tour guide experience is necessary. Most guides work two hour shifts, once a week, but scheduling is flexible.
Qualifications: interest in state history and the legislative process, good public speaking skills, desire to learn, pleasing personality, average physical stamina, reliability, punctuality.

Capitol Information and Tours educates citizens about state government through tours of the Legislative Office Building and State Capitol, publication distribution, and the staffing of two information desks. It also provides positive public relations for the Connecticut General Assembly and the State and encourages tourists to visit other Hartford sites.
