The Friends of WFPL is looking for motivated volunteers to serve as cashiers, book organizers, and clean up crew during our Big Spring Book Sale. The proceeds of our sale are used to support children's and other programming at the various public libraries. Come help support a great cause!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of WFPL is to advocate for literacy and learning by expanding and fostering the availability of resources for the West Florida Public Library and other community initiatives.

Description

The Friends of WFPL is a non-profit 501(c)(3). The organization was founded in 1973, and is made up of volunteers whose primary purpose is to support the mission of the West Florida Public Library System and to help enhance its services to the community. Over the past 50 years, the Friends have raised more than $2 million to build new library locations and support children’s summer reading programs, adult learning and many other activities and events that create a stronger community.
