Senior Grantwriting Volunteers for Catastrophic Wildfire Prevention at CrowdDoing

Purpose: Support CrowdDoing's mission to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires through securing grant funding for prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Research grant opportunities from government agencies, corporate foundations, and nonprofit funders relevant to wildfire prevention
Analyze grant guidelines and requirements to determine fit and eligibility for CrowdDoing programs
Develop compelling grant proposals and applications, articulating the need for funding and CrowdDoing's capabilities
Craft project plans, budgets, and impact projections for grant requests
Work closely with CrowdDoing leadership to integrate grant applications into overall fundraising strategy
Maintain calendar of grant application and reporting deadlines
Assist with gathering required documents and inputs for grant applications
Participate in cultivation meetings with prospective grantmaking organizations
Provide writing support for grant reports and interim updates for existing funders

Qualifications:

5+ years experience writing successful grant proposals
Knowledge of wildfire prevention space and relevant stakeholders
Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail
Strong analytic skills to evaluate grant opportunities
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives
Passion for the mission of reducing catastrophic wildfire risk

Time Commitment: 4+ hours per week

Benefits: This is an unpaid volunteer position. However, it provides an opportunity to use your grantwriting expertise to make a meaningful difference in wildfire prevention and community safety.
