ORGANIZATION: Suncrest Hospice

  • 10 people are interested

Suncrest Hospice would love for you to join our volunteer family! As an integral part of our team, volunteers provide companionship and support to our patients located at home or in a facility. Our current service area includes Essex, Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Union, Warren and Somerset counties.

Do you have a certified pet therapy animal? Or do you have a loving, sweet and gentle pet that can peacefully bring comfort and support to our patients? Then we need you and your wonderful animal companion! Our patients can greatly benefit from friendly visits with compassionate animal friends (and humans!) Our volunteers consistently report that they find their experience very gratifying.

Contact us to see how you can put your skills to use, further enriching the lives of our patients! You may share your gifts in a very flexible timeframe, but we typically request volunteers to provide at least 4 hours per month. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss this unique opportunity.

About Suncrest Hospice

Location:

35 Waterview Blvd, Suite 100, Parsippany, NJ 07054, US

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide the highest quality of care and customer service to our patients, their families, and our referring sources. We believe that exceptional clinical care must include clear communication, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and a dedication to deliver services with passion and integrity. We are committed to maintaining a team comprised of the most talented and compassionate professionals in the industry. As our greatest asset, our team supports each other, takes ownership of their duties, and continually seeks to enhance their personal character and education. Suncrest will reach its goals under the direction of leaders who seek to serve, an office staff that supports, and a philosophy that growth is only achieved through the greatest efforts of the entire team.

Description

Many volunteers decide to assist with hospice following the death of a loved one from their own lives. Rather than focusing on death, hospice volunteering offers the opportunity to help someone find fulfillment and comfort during the final days of their life.

Suncrest welcomes the unique abilities and talents volunteers bring with them, allowing volunteers to support someone's dignified end-of-life in many ways.
