Help lead 3 day live changing, experiential workshops at the Cheyenne Mountain Re-entry Center in Colorado Springs. Workshops are fast-paced, weaving together interactive exercises, facilitated discussions, roles plays, humor and games. Workshops have demonstrated results in reducing recidivism rates, reducing write-ups in prisons and reducing levels of anger. Training is provided and you will be working with other trained volunteers. Workshops are scheduled on weekends: Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM and 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. For more than thirty years, AVP Colorado, formerly the New Foundations Nonviolence Center, has helped people in in communities and in prisons to transform their lives. Through Alternatives to Violence workshops, we give people the tools they can use to learn new ways to communicate and resolve conflict without resorting to manipulation, coercion, or violence.
