Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist -Volunteer

About Our Organization: Dunk4Dreams is a non-profit organization that offers basketball-centric programs and technology access to underserved youth, primarily focusing on minority communities. Our future basketball-attributed technology access program, scheduled to launch in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024, represents our ceaseless commitment to acting as a catalyst for social change.

Job Overview:

We seek a Volunteer Learning and Development Specialist to develop the 16-subject curriculum for our technology access and youth basketball development program

In collaboration with the Leadership team and other stakeholders, you will adjust the curriculum to align our organization's goals and the unique needs of each course's participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand existing course framework to additional classes
  • Collaborate with course director and stakeholders to refine content as needed
  • Support the implementation of an extended curriculum across multiple classes
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates
  • Evaluate course impact and incorporate feedback to improve the curriculum

Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in learning and development or instructional design
  • Experience with youth leadership programs beneficial
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team
  • Familiarity with various learning platforms and technologies

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
