The Longest Day campaign is a year-round DIY fundraising event where thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Longest Day Volunteer Committee helps to recruit new fundraisers, raise revenue, and coach individuals to success. This specific volunteer role is the PARTICIPANT ENGAGEMENT TEAM.
The Participant Engagement Team will:
○ Model mission fundraising by becoming a Solstice Champion by raising $1,600.
○ Coach and recognize current participants in The Longest Day to help them reach fundraising benchmarks.
○ Execute the engagement plan to welcome, thank and touch base with participants.
○ Offer assistance to participants who might need help reaching their fundraising or recruitment goals.
● Responsibilities:
○ Participate in Participant Engagement Committee meetings.
○ Lead efforts to recognize participants when they hit fundraising milestones.
○ Assist with coaching calls to build relationships with participants.
○ Utilize the Incentive and Solstice Champion Program to steward participants to achieve fundraising success.
○ Help strategize and implement the Celebration Party.
○ Attend the Participant Kickoff Party and at least 2 The Longest Day fundraising events.
○ Work closely with the TLD staff partner to ensure participant fundraising success.
