Companionship

Volunteers are an essential part of the Compassionate Hospice Care team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their caregivers. Your time is needed and valued.
We are looking for volunteers to spend time with our Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. There are a variety of ways to volunteer with memory care patients including:

  • Music Therapy - playing an instrument or music on a speaker
  • Special Activities - sensory or textures, no-bake baked goods, balloon volleyball
  • Puzzle and Games
  • Reading
  • Being Present with the Patient

Veterans, musicians, therapist are welcomed! No experience is required, just a willing and compassionate heart. Time commitment would be 1-2 hours per month, or more if you are available. These hours count towards volunteer requirements for educational or legal purposes.
