For over 40 years, Addiction Treatment Services has extended compassion and care to our neighbors with substance dependencies so they can maintain a healthy, recovery lifestyle. We’ve always believed that if we can promote hope - and meet every person with the dignity and respect they deserve - we can build a stronger community, one recovery at a time.

Today, in the midst of the country’s opioid epidemic, our mission has never been more vital. We’re feeling the effects of addiction much closer to home and, with that, comes opportunities for understanding and empathy. We’ll never stop sharing addiction education and working with our community partners to reduce the stigma associated with substance use disorder and its struggles.

About the Role:

The Board provides strategic leadership, governance and works to build the organization’s resources. The organization seeks Board Members who can serve our mission, specifically, the ideal candidate will:

• Serve as an ambassador for Addiction Treatment Services, working to connect us to a network of people who are passionate about advancing the organization’s mission.
• Preferably have experience with finance, legal or marketing,
• Enhance our public profile by connecting us to media contacts.
• Leverage your extensive experience as an accomplished leader in business, public policy or the nonprofit sector.
• Ensure that ATS. is run in an ethical and legal manner and implement good governance practices that establish accountability.
• Support, provide direction to and work with the Executive Director to create a strategic direction for ATS and to set short and long-term goals and policies.
• Assure that management continuity is properly provided.
