Position: Activity Supporter

Location: Carlton County, Cloquet, MN

About Us: REACH Youth-Adult Partnerships is dedicated to providing engaging out-of-school activities for youth aged 10-21 in Carlton County. We believe in the power of mentorship and community involvement to help young people thrive.

Position Description: REACH's special events include things such as going to the movies, mini-golfing, white water rafting, bowling, Our goal is to get the youth out into the community to do fun group activities that they may not have the opportunity to do otherwise. These activities are also a great way for the youth to build community and relationships with others their age and adult role-models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Show up on time to the event.
• Communicate with other volunteers and staff
• Help with special event whether that be helping transport students or assisting with activities
• And most of all have fun with the youth. This is their time to shine.
• Have a great imagination!!

Requirements:

• Passion for working with youth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to positive youth development.
• A clear background check may be required.

Time Commitment: Flexible hours - most of our current programming goes from 3:30 - 5:30 Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday and 3:00 - 5:00 Wednesday. Starting in June the typical hours become 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Goal

The goal of our organization is to build protective factors in youth that will lead them to thrive in our community. Positive indicators include: increased attendance and participation in school, prosocial behavior and activities, or engaging in the community with peers and supportive adults. REACH personalizes each goal with each individual youth.
