Busy Veteran Services Office seeks a great multitasker to assist with general office skills. Ability to manage and operate a multi-line phone system, stay level-headed during moments of stress, and be both friendly and effective communicator. Should have excellent verbal communication, good telephone communication etiquette, be organized and resourceful, customer-focused, adept at prioritizing, scheduling, and multitasking with an ability to handle office equipment (e.g., the telephone system, printer/scanner/fax machine).

In this role, you will:

  • Greet visitors
  • Handle queries via phone and walk-ins
  • Transfer calls as necessary
  • Take messages and ensure messages are passed to the appropriate staff member
  • Manage meeting room availability
  • Handle printing, photocopying and faxing as needed

Hours Needed: Monday- Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm (4 hr. shifts)

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in Highlands County through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute as many hours as they can to help our nonprofit and public organizations meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. We match the personal interests and skills of our volunteers to rewarding volunteer assignments. We offer free supplemental insurance while on duty.
