We are looking to assemble a team of app developers who are software professionals or professionals with the ability to create applications, commonly known as "apps," for various platforms such as smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices.
What you’ll do:
- Platform Expertise: App developers who specialize in specific platforms such as iOS (Apple devices like iPhones and iPads), Android (devices from various manufacturers), or cross-platform solutions that work on multiple platforms.
- Programming Languages and Tools: Developers who can use programming languages like Swift or Objective-C for iOS, Java or Kotlin for Android, and languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web apps. They also utilize development environments, libraries, and frameworks specific to their chosen platform.
- Functionality: App developers who can write the code that provides the app's functionality, whether it's a game, a trigger, or a productivity tool, or something else entirely.
- Testing and Debugging: Developers who can rigorously test the app to identify and fix bugs, ensure smooth functionality, and optimize performance.
- Deployment and Updates: Once the app is ready, a developer can manage the process of deploying it to app stores (like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store). They also release updates to add new features, fix issues, and maintain compatibility with evolving technologies.
- Communication and Collaboration: our app developers will often work as part of a team that includes designers, project managers, quality assurance testers, and sometimes even marketing professionals.
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in app development, with expertise in iOS, Android, or cross-platform solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with development tools, libraries, and frameworks specific to the platform.
- Strong skills in writing efficient, clean code and delivering high-quality apps with exceptional functionality.
- Ability to test and debug apps, ensuring they meet performance and user experience standards.
- Proven experience in deploying apps to app stores and managing app updates.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for delivering innovative and impactful solutions in the nonprofit sector.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
