All types of volunteer positions are in needed. Here are a few ways you can help.
Administrative - Filing, answering phones in our office, copying, writing letters to patients, sending cards to patients
Direct Patient Care - Phone call support, sitting with patient, reading to patient, music therapy, watching movies, listening, recording "life" stories, running errands, walking or playing with pets, care giver relief, light house keeping, light yard work. MUSIC THEREAPY and PET THERAPY DEFINATELY NEEDED!
Bereavement Support - Phone calls and writing letters to grieving families.
Some forms of volunteer work can be accomplished right from your home! The Picayune Branch Office serves much of the surrounding area. This is a great opportunity to obtain Volunteer hours needed for college courses. Contact : Nicolle.lee@ehab.com right away! We look forward to meeting you!

Hospice is not a place, but a philosophy of care. It is a team of professionals dedicated to providing physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional comfort.
Description
Enhabit Hospice is looking for direct patient services volunteers and administrative volunteers to provide to patients during their final months and weeks of life and staff support. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do. MUSIC THEREAPY and PET THERAPY DEFINATELY NEEDED!
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games and reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, sound record or video record a patient's life history, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family. Administrative assignments can be completed in the office or your home. If you are a college student and need volunteer hours, this Is an excellent way to obtain them. We are very flexible and will work with you.

- Must be at least 14
- Orientation or Training
- 2-4 Hours per week, can be from your own home making phone calls to patients.
- Driver's License Needed Background Check Must be at least 18 Orientation or Training 1- YEAR COMMITMENT WITH Minimum 2 hours a month. 2-4 hours a week preferred. Background check, TB and Drug Testing, paid by Enhabit.
