Do you have a passion for fashion and helping others look their best? Join us as a Clothes Closet volunteer!
Our Clothes Closet is our on-site boutique and treasure trove for our guests to find much-needed clothing, shoes and personal care items. Thanks to many wonderful donations, we are able to give our guests warm clothes, personal care items and the ability to dress for success!
We are currently recruiting volunteers as Stylists to assist guests and Organizers to sort and label donations. The Clothes Closet is currently open Monday-Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm but we would love to expand to open on Friday with volunteer assistance.

Our vision is that the homeless and hungry have a place on the Monterey Peninsula where they can access food, clothing, a caring community, and connections to resources and services.
Gathering for Women is a caring community...
- Where homeless women can get a hot meal, free clothing and limited emergency assistance.
- Where health, mental health, and other service providers can connect with homeless women to offer them help.
- Where homeless women can learn how to keep themselves safe and healthy.
- Where the community can learn from homeless women about what they need.
- Where housing providers can connect with, screen, and place women into permanent housing.
Gathering for Women is a non-profit organization funded through grants and individual and organizational contributions. We also accept donations of food, warm clothing, rain gear, camping equipment (tarps, sleeping bags and tents), and toiletries such as small containers of sunscreen, hand sanitizers, and deodorants.
