ORGANIZATION: Good Samaritan Health Clinic

The Medical Scribe ensures accurate and timely documentation of the medical chart under the supervision of the medical provider. The Scribe will be present during the patient encounter and is responsible for recording detailed information into the electronic medical record (EMR). The primary role of a Scribe is to increase provider effectiveness , efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Type 55+WPM
  • Must have strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Must have effective communication skills and demonstrate adequate maturity, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology a plus, but not necessary

Description

Good Samaritan Clinic has been serving Pasco County for 32 years. In 1990, a dedicated group of individuals recognized an unfulfilled need to healthcare services to be freely available to the medically needy members of our community. Since that time, the Clinic has grown, and now has over 3,5000 patient visits annually.

The Clinic staff is made up of only 4 full time employees along with 8 part-time employees or independent contractors The clinic relies heavily on the help of over 100 volunteers a year. Volunteers include licensed MD's, DO's, DDS's, APRN', medical assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative support personnel, and eligibility and referral specialists.
