ORGANIZATION: Family Service Rochester

FARR

Do you have a couple hours a week to engage in activities with children while their moms participate in a group meeting?

Volunteer Shift Time: 3:45pm - 6:15pm (group meeting is 4pm- 6pm)
Location: Gloria Dai Lutheran Church (1212 12th Ave NW, Rochester, MN, near John Marshall High School)
Childcare volunteers are not expected to change diapers and will not have infants to care for.
The meetings are held one room away, so there is always support from the mom and FSR staff if needed.
Hands on training given during shift, but no prior training is required.

To learn more about signing up to help with this volunteer task, please respond to this opportunity! Our staff will reach out to you with further information.

** All volunteers must pass an FSR background check.
*** We are looking for committed volunteers who can do consistent shifts (twice or more a month). This way the children, moms, and staff can get to know you.

Thank you for considering this volunteering request!

Description

FSR was founded in 1965 with a staff of three and the mission to support and enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in the community. From that small start-up offering counseling and homemaker services, the agency has grown to provide more than 30 programs to meet ever-changing community needs.
