Background:
Next Step Academics, a 501c3 organization, was founded in March 2023. Our mission is to provide personalized resources and assistance to help Texas students overcome obstacles to achieve their college, career, and military aspirations. We are a 100% volunteer-based organization. Our philosophy supports academic achievement and emphasizes the importance of socio-emotional health.
We count on dedicated volunteers passionate about education and assisting students who would otherwise need to catch up. That’s where we need you! We rely on committed volunteers with a passion for teaching and are dedicated to supporting students at risk of falling behind. Your contribution is crucial in this endeavor! You will interact with families and help students perform and learn! Join our organization and help empower our students as we lay a foundation for lifelong learning.
Being an online tutor:
As a tutor, you are the lifeblood of this organization and are the one delivering services. We will pair you with a student who needs support in whichever standard 10-12 subjects you want to teach (ACT, SAT, PSAT, Entry Level Apperentership Test). You will interact with families and help your student(s) perform and learn!
We are also looking for ESL tutors to support our growing Spanish-speaking population.
