Wholesome Wave Georgia's annual fundraiser Southern Chefs Potluck will be held on October 1 at the Pavilion at Serenbe. Please visit www.wholesomewavegeorgia.org/southern-chefs-potluck to learn more about this organization and event.
Volunteers will primarily assist with setting up the event, providing operational support during the first half of the event, and engaging with guests. Because this is an outdoor event at a pavilion, volunteers should come prepared to work in various weather conditions on uneven terrain and should be ready for some physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds. Volunteers will be invited to enjoy the event with general admission seating after their respective shift.
Volunteers will receive an on-site orientation from 11:30am to 12:00pm. More details about each volunteer position will be shared via email the week leading up to the event.
Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Description
Wholesome Wave Georgia (WWG) makes fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce affordable and available to Georgians in need through partnerships with over 80 statewide partners, such as farmers markets, farm stands, brick-and-mortar retailers, and healthcare providers. WWG has facilitated more than $5.5 million in spending at partner sites since 2009 by matching the value of SNAP/EBT (commonly referred to as food stamps) on fruit and vegetable purchases. That means families who spend $10 using SNAP/EBT receive $20 of locally-grown food. Alongside healthcare partners, Wholesome Wave Georgia also provides food prescriptions that make locally-grown food free for participants, which comes with healthy lifestyle coaching. Additionally, Wholesome Wave Georgia offers SNAP benefits assistance through free screenings, enrollments and renewals so that everyday Georgians can access resources they need.
