Volunteer drivers and route partners needed for food rescue program
Workout while making a difference! The Foodbank is recruiting volunteers for our Stark County food rescue program, Community Harvest. Volunteers work in pairs to pick up food donations on weekday mornings from local restaurants and grocery stores and deliver them to several hunger-relief partners. This volunteer opportunity is 4 - 6 hours of engaging activity out in the community, representing the Foodbank with donors and hunger-relief partners. Volunteers must be comfortable repeatedly lifting and carrying containers weighing an average of 10 to 30 pounds each. Volunteer drivers will drive the Foodbank’s refrigerated box truck - no CDL required.
We are seeking volunteers willing to make a 6-month commitment. This volunteer opportunity begins and ends at our Stark County Campus in Canton.
