Join us for the National MS Society's Annual Bike MS: Tour de Beach and make a difference! This exciting event will be starting and finishing in Gulf Shores, AL, with cyclists riding up to 100 miles each day. We rely on our amazing volunteers to ensure the success of events like these!

Volunteer Roles:

Start/Finish Line First Aid Volunteers (Various Shifts):

  • Provide first aid as required to cyclists before and after the ride. First aid Tent will be located near the start/finish line.

Roaming First Aid Volunteers (8 AM to 4 PM):

  • Stationed on route, roaming medical will follow cyclists along route. Providing first aid support as required. You may drive your own vehicle, or a vehicle supplied by the MS Society.

What We Provide:

  • All necessary instructions, supplies, and equipment. You just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help!

Why Volunteer? Volunteers are the backbone of our event. By joining the Bike MS Volunteer Team, you’ll not only support our cyclists but also help raise funds and make a difference in the lives of people living with MS.

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers key fundraising activities such as The MS150 Bike Ride, MS Walk and Stand Against MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
