Do you enjoy spending time with people and learning about their unique life stories or lessons? The elderly, in particular, have had opportunities to experience many of life's ups and downs and have lived through many world events. During our younger years, we often dwell on problems, focus on the past or worry about the future. While this is normal and sometimes necessary, it can become all-consuming. Seniors who have experienced great joy or conversely, have weathered many storms can help us look at things differently, often in a more positive light. At Gentiva Hospice, we are in the business of caring for the elderly, whose wisdom is celebrated and revered. If you would like to learn about an elder's life story, or just provide companionship by sitting quietly, reading a book, or watching a movie together, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Our hospice patients reside in assisted living and memory care facilities, nursing homes, and in their own residences. We hope to hear from you!
