One World One Love is a nonprofit that welcomes refugees to central NJ with material, educational, and employment support. One of our signature efforts is preparing homes for arriving refugees. Before a family arrives, a team of 5-6 volunteers cleans, hangs curtains, arranges furniture, makes the beds, and stocks the kitchen and bath with household essentials. Most setups are in Union/Essex/Hudson counties with only a few days’ notice. We set up homes on weekends and weekdays. Older children and teens are welcome!

One World One Love, NJ (1W1L) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of ordinary citizens working together to welcome refugees and asylum seekers fleeing war, trauma or persecution abroad. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to raise their children and build their future in a safe, supportive environment.
Description
Founded in 2016, One World One Love welcomes refugees and asylum seekers to central NJ with material, educational, and employment support. We work closely with resettlement agencies such as the International Rescue Committee to support newly-arrived refugee families in myriad ways - from setting up fully-furnished homes to community orientation, ESL tutoring to job-search coaching. Last year, we served over 500 individuals across our many programs, all because of the dedication and efforts of our volunteers.
