Interested in supporting children and families who are grieving? If so, The Elizabeth Hospice is recruiting new volunteers to support the Children's Bereavement Program!
Volunteers in our Children’s Bereavement Program assist in co-facilitating peer-based grief support groups for children ages 3 to 17 years and their adults. We will be offering groups at our Children’s Bereavement Centers in Mission Valley and Escondido September through May. Groups meet in the afternoon and evenings Monday through Wednesday (schedule varies by location), biweekly. Volunteers make a monthly commitment of 6 hours for a nine-month season.
Please take a moment to submit a volunteer application by Wednesday, September 6 by following this link: Peer Group Volunteer Application. New volunteers are required to attend our two-day Children’s Bereavement Volunteer Facilitator Training hosted on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 109:00am-5:00pm in Mission Valley.
We look forward to hearing from you and thank you again for your interest in volunteering! Please contact our Children’s Bereavement Program Team with any questions via email childrensbereavement@ehospice.org or phone 760-223-7337.
